Bilingual Domestic Violence Counselor

Brighter Tomorrows, Inc. seeks a part-time bilingual (English/Spanish) counselor to provide individual and group counseling to clients in the agency’s residential and non-residential programs. The counselor will also conduct psychosocial assessments, provide crisis intervention services as needed, and coordinate with outside providers to arrange mental health evaluations and medication management as needed.

Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health or Psychology, or related field required. State licensure preferred.  Candidate must possess knowledge of dynamics of domestic violence, PTSD, and evidenced-based practices for this population.  SIFI preferred.  Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills required.

Housing Specialist

Assist transitional housing clients in locating and securing permanent housing. Provide case-management services including assessment of needs and barriers, budget planning and self- sufficiency skills. Develop relationships with landlords and property managers. Review leases and residential contracts, familiarize clients with rights and responsibilities. Conduct home visits and provide referrals. Transport clients to housing appointments.  Knowledge of social services and housing opportunities and good communication skills needed.  Clean driver’s license required.  BA preferred.

Per Diem House Manager

Under the supervision of Director of Residential Services, the per diem House Manager assists residents with daily tasks and assists in maintaining the physical aspects of the emergency shelter. House managers answer hotline calls as needed, conduct room checks, and enforce rules and regulations of residence.  Successful candidates should have the ability to work evening, weekend, and/or overnight shifts.  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence preferred.  Interested candidates should contact Maria Perry at
