Our bilingual staff support survivors in Family, District, Integrated Domestic Violence, and Human Trafficking Courts, in both the Central Islip and Riverhead courthouses.

Bilingual Court Advocacy Services

Bilingual Court Advocates assist survivors through the duration of their court case with the following:

  • Obtaining Free &  Low-Bono Legal Representation
    • Referral to Brighter Tomorrows Staff Attorneys for Family Court and Orders of Protection
    • Referrals for Divorce cases
    •  Referrals for Immigration cases
  • File Court Papers
    • Orders of Protection
    • Child Support/ Spousal Support
    • Custody/ Visitation
    • E-Petition Service
  • Court Accompaniment
  • Additional Community Referrals

Remote Services

Advocates can assist domestic violence survivors over the phone with submitting orders of protection, custody, and/or child support petitions from any location. All the survivor needs is a phone and a private space to have sensitive conversations.

Referrals made for free consultations and representation in the area of Family Law for the following cases:

  • Orders of Protection
  • Custody/ Visitation
  • Child Support/ Spousal Support
